Is it Monday already??? We had the best weekend! We hung out at home and enjoyed the beautiful weather! The kids rode their bikes 90% of the time and Jules and I got to clean out the garage! Now that we renovated the inside of our house last summer/fall, we have to start working on the outside… There is so much work that needs to be done! Jules got the front yard looking nice and we have a working sprinkler system, but the back is it’s own beast… wish us luck!
On a lighter note, while we were all running around outside this weekend it felt like the perfect time to make some Popsicles! My kiddos love having Otter Pops at Grammy and Papa’s house, so I didn’t buy any here so that could be their treat when they visit. Instead I just made my own! I was a little skeptical about the kids liking them, but boy was I wrong! They ate the whole batch! They are super easy and you don’t need a ton of ingredients.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup fresh kiwi
1/4 cup fresh strawberries
1 cup frozen fruit blend
1/4 cup yogurt (we used strawberry)
a splash of orange juice
milk
Popsicle freezer pack
or
ice trays (we used a silicone tray with 6 slots)
Popsicle sticks (we used baking sticks we had on hand)
Instructions:
1. Dump all the fresh and frozen fruit in your blender (we just use our magic bullet).
2. Add yogurt. I usually just do two or three heaping tablespoons of our big bin of yogurt. If I have the individual yogurts, I use one per batch.
3. This time I had some orange juice in the fridge and I feel like this makes the recipe! Pour a splash into the blender.
4. Pour the milk until it covers all the fruit.
5. Blend! If you notice there isn’t enough liquid add a little more milk.
6. Dump mixture evenly into whatever tray you use.
7. Place Popsicle stick in each slot
8. Freeze for an hour
9. ENJOY!!
I hope you enjoy! I know we did!! Have fun and change up the fruit! I know I will be making some more today, and I’m adding bananas!
XO,
Corrine Monique
