If you have been following for sometime, it is no surprise that I love planning parties! Any kind of party! I love all the little details and letting my creative mind run wild! I love coming up with a vision and doing everything possible to make that come to life. Nothing goes unplanned, from the invites that set the scene, to the cute straws accenting the drinks! When my sister asked if I could help her plan my Niece’s birthday, the answer was easy! YES! This year Chloe celebrated her Golden Birthday with a ”campout” theme! With the weather getting chilly and the leaves turning colors, this couldn’t have been a better theme!
My go to place, as I’m sure is the case for all you party planners out there, is Pinterest! Go follow my boards if you want at Corrine Monique, all my brainstorming is there! I had so many ideas I wanted to come to life, but I thought keeping it simple would be so perfect. I collaborated with Ericka and Chloe and got the invitations created! I have been really learning how to utilize my computer with all the blogging I have been doing, and I was so excited with how these invites turned out!
Between my sister and myself, we collected and collaborated to find all the items we already had to decorate for the party! I had some fun tin serving trays and wire pieces that fit the theme perfectly! Ericka used their red and white gingham table cloth and it all came together just right!!
I wanted to create a chalkboard focused on Camp Chloe, and this is what I came up with!! It was perfect! As far as food, Ericka wanted to keep it simple and similar to the way their family camping trips go. The girls had yummy “Taco in a Bag” for dinner and then all the sugar you could think of! They had everything from sugar cookies to cupcakes to yummy smore’s! For drinks they filled up on soda, water, and hot cocoa!
With a night full of laughter and roasting marshmallows, I don’t think there is a better way to turn 11! It was so much fun helping with the planning of this party!! It definitely got me thinking of all the fun planning I have to come in the next couple of months!
XO,
Corrine Monique
