We made it! Hello Friday!! Jules got home last night and we are so ready for the weekend! It is supposed to be sunny and freezing here so maybe we can bundle up and get outside for a bit! It’s been a while since I shared my last Holiday Gift Guide! You can shop the guides I already posted HERE or you can find each individual guide by clicking any of these: For Him, For Her, and Beauty Edition. Today I am sharing my Holiday Gift Guide for Kids! This is the first year that I haven’t known exactly what to get for my own kiddos! I feel like loading them up with more toys isn’t the route we want to go! We are going to keep it simple this year!
Both Jax and Mia always need the essentials. The things that kids probably don’t want to open, but act as great stocking stuffers! I always love to get each of them a couple fun pair of socks like these HERE and HERE. It’s the perfect gift for the winter months and if I can find a character or design that they like, they are usually excited!
This year the only other clothing I am getting for Jax and Mia are these amazing pjs! I talked about all of our favorite Christmas Pajamas in my post HERE, but I am loving these adorable Burt’s Bees Organic Pajama Sets. Jax is in a size 5T and Mia is in a size 3T and they fit them perfectly! These pjs are so soft and I love the style! There are some other different patterns, and I’m thinking I might need to pick up another set for each them!
We haven’t gotten any snow yet, but I know it’s coming! I absolutely love the Cat & Jack line at Target and these Flannel Winter Boots are adorable!! With how fast the kids grow, it is so nice to get necessities like this without having to spend a ton of money! Lucky for us Jax can still wear his from last year, you can find them HERE. The quality is great and again, you can’t pass up that price!
Beanies and gloves are always such a fun and adorable gift to pick out!! Did anyone else’s kiddos heads grow a crazy amount in the last year…? Well both Jax and Mia need a new hat and I am loving some of the cute sets out there! I can always count on Gap! I am thinking Mia needs this hat HERE and Jax needs this one HERE! So cute!!!
So now let’s talk toys! Out of all the toys we have there are a handful that both Jax and Mia always go back to. Let’s start with their Kindle Fire Kids Edition. We love these tablets! We get asked all the time what apps and what tablet our kids use. The Kindle Fire Kids Edition comes loaded with all the kids apps, games, and videos already on the tablet. There is no need to search and fill up the tablet with apps you think your kiddos might like. My favorite feature of this tablet, is that all of our profiles are separate. Since you have to set the tablet up under your Amazon account, there is a profile for Jules and myself, but Jax and Mia can’t access that! This ensures no worries of them ever getting into any adult content they aren’t supposed to! Such a relief!! The other nice thing is you can set time limits on the tablets. Once the time is up the tablet shuts off and it’s time to move on to something else! We take our Kindle Fire Kids Edition everywhere! It has been a lifesaver on planes, road trips, and I can’t even begin to talk about all of the educational things both kids learn everyday! Okay, if I haven’t convinced you already, I’m not sure what will!
Another favorite toy that we get asked about all the time is our KidKraft Vintage Play Kitchen. I love how simple and gender neutral this kitchen is! Both Jax and Mia love to use their imagination and create all sorts of things in the kitchen. It is simple to assemble and they have other fun colors to choose from! Our kitchen is under $100, such a great deal, and they have some other fun styles HERE and HERE! We are going on year three with our kitchen and the kids still play with it daily!
Building blocks are such a practical gift for any age! Jax is just about at that age where I think we might start getting the little Legos. Time slow down!! Over the years both kids have absolutely love playing with all of the different Lego sets! We have the Around The World set and it is so fun to see what the kids come up with! They love to mix and match all of the animals and different scenes, and the options are endless! We also love the My First Train Set. I sweat they could watch that train go around that track for hours! This year I am loving all of the super hero sets like this one HERE and HERE!
Like I said, we are keeping things really simple! We are stocking up on the necessities and calling it good! It feels good to focus on the real reason for the season enjoy all those little moments to the fullest! I hope this gives you some ideas for all your kiddos!
XO,
Corrine Monique
